Teen Events
Mark Your Calendars!
Saturday, May 7, from 8-4:30pm
A Red Cross instructor will teach you everything you need to know to keep kids safe. You will receive certification upon completion of the class. The class is all day so bring a bag-lunch. The library will supply drinks and snacks.
The cost is $50 per person and is due upon sign-up at the library. Make checks payable to the Sewickley Public Library. This class is open to teens 11 and up. Space is limited.
SAT Training Sessions
Join SAT tutor Phil McCaffrey & his daughter Ali for these free SAT training sessions! All classes will take place at 1:30pm in the Community Room. Register for one or all of the sessions. Space is limited.
Saturday, May 14: SAT Critical Reading—Structure & Type of Reading Passages Register for this session.
Alicia (Ali) McCaffrey is a junior honors student at Quaker Valley. She is active in several clubs but drama is her passion. She has straight A’s in every class and a killer SAT Score. Ali has been tutoring for two years. Her dad Phil is a well-known local tutor who has been teaching Test Prep for 20 years and is a High School Math Teacher at Urban Pathways in Pittsburgh.

Anime Club – Every Monday in April and the first 4 Mondays in May from 4:30-6pm
Teens in grades 6 through 12 can join us to watch your favorite Anime (Japanese cartoons) and talk about our newest Manga!

Dungeons & Dragons – The first Wednesday of the month from 3:30-4:30pm
By request, we are hosting an informal, drop-in Dungeons & Dragons program. All skill levels are welcome! Someone will be on-hand to teach beginners the rules of this epic, fantasy role-playing game.

Shrinky Dinks!- Wednesday, April 20, from 4-5pm
Everyone’s favorite craft is back! Make unique designs on sheets of plastic and then shrink them in our toaster oven. Turn your shrunken creations into magnets or jewelry.

Hunger Games Book Discussion - Thursday, April 21, from 4:30-5:30pm

Sweet & Salty: Chocolate-Covered Pretzels - Tuesday, April 26, from 4-5:30pm
It’s Pretzel Day! Come decorate pretzel rods with chocolate, sprinkles, chocolate, mini M&Ms, and more! We’ll eat them, of course.

It’s Twilight Zone Day! Join us for a marathon of this classic 1950s-1960s television show. Snacks will be provided.

Hello Cupcake: End of School Party - Thursday, May 26, After School

All about-to-be 6th graders are invited to this program! Get familiar with the Teen Room, learn about Teen program, and sign up for the Summer Reading program. Then we’ll make buttons and eat pizza!

Sorry I have not been at the library in a long time..
But I started school so its hard for me to get over there.
Plus there has been a few things goin on with kids that go there..
Im hoping to come to the next movie night what movie will be playing?
